Water Field Service Engineer - Eastern Wisconsin (Full-Time)

A well-established and rapidly growing water treatment solutions provider is seeking an experienced Water Quality Field Service Engineer to support operations in Eastern Wisconsin. This full-time role plays a critical part in delivering top-tier service, maintaining water quality, and ensuring optimal system performance for a diverse range of commercial and industrial clients.

About the Role

You will work independently and as part of a broader support team to manage water treatment systems across industries such as food processing, healthcare, education, and manufacturing. The position involves fieldwork at client sites, including regular water quality testing, system inspections, and performance optimization for systems like cooling towers, boilers, process water, and industrial wastewater.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine service visits, test and analyze water samples, and make adjustments to optimize treatment systems.

  • Independently manage your schedule for weekly, monthly, or quarterly service calls, ensuring efficient account coverage.

  • Troubleshoot and solve complex water treatment challenges using chemical and process engineering techniques.

  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients-maintaining strong relationships, managing service accounts, and ensuring satisfaction.

  • Generate service orders and proposals for new equipment, manage pricing updates, and support client retention.

  • Collaborate with technical team members and management to ensure seamless client service.

  • Continuously develop knowledge in water treatment technologies, chemistry, and industry standards.


Qualifications

  • Background in engineering, chemistry, water treatment, or related technical fields.

  • Experience working for a water treatment or HVAC service provider is required.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on familiarity with treatment equipment.

  • Degree preferred (e.g., Chemical, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering); equivalent field experience and technical knowledge considered.

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple service accounts and projects simultaneously.

  • Must pass a motor vehicle report check, drug screening, and human performance evaluation.

  • Physical capability to travel, walk customer sites, climb stairs/ladders, and work with chemicals (PPE provided).

  • Comfortable working in varying temperatures and industrial environments while wearing appropriate safety gear.

  • Fluent in English and authorized to work in the U.S.
