Our client, a leading engineering and infrastructure firm, is seeking an experienced Water/Wastewater Project Manager to join their growing team in Richmond, Virginia. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional to take ownership of complex projects that directly impact communities and support sustainable water systems.

About the Role
As a Project Manager, you will oversee the full lifecycle of water and wastewater projects-from initial planning and design through permitting, construction, and delivery. You'll work closely with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and on budget. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage water/wastewater infrastructure projects from concept to completion.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Prepare proposals, cost estimates, and technical reports.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and project staff.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships to support long-term partnerships.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in water/wastewater project management.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or related engineering discipline.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering municipal water and wastewater projects.
  • Strong knowledge of industry regulations, permitting processes, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
