W/WW Project Engineer
A nationally recognized civil engineering firm is seeking a Project Engineer to support its growing water and wastewater treatment practice in Houston. This is a hands-on technical role focused on the planning, design, and delivery of treatment infrastructure for municipal and industrial clients.
Key Responsibilities
Support the design of water and wastewater treatment facilities, including process, mechanical, and civil components
Prepare engineering reports, technical memoranda, and construction documents
Perform hydraulic modeling, equipment sizing, and process calculations
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including structural, electrical, and instrumentation engineers
Assist with permitting, cost estimating, and construction-phase services
Engage with clients and regulatory agencies to ensure project success
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering
Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas preferred (or ability to obtain within 12 months)
5-10 years of experience in water/wastewater treatment design
Familiarity with treatment processes, pump station design, and regulatory standards
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and hydraulic modeling tools
Strong communication and coordination skills
