Assistant Project Manager- Data Center Construction
We are supporting a growing construction team on a search for an Assistant Project Manager, to work on large-scale data center projects in the Northern Virginia market. This is an excellent opportunity for an APM looking to step into the mission-critical space- prior data center experience is not required.
You'll be part of a highly experienced project team delivering complex, fast-paced builds, with strong mentorship and clear progression opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Project Manager with day-to-day project execution
- Assist with project schedules, budgets, buyouts, and cost tracking
- Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers
- Manage RFIs, submittals, and project documentation
- Support procurement and long-lead item tracking
- Participate in project meetings and help drive progress on-site
- Maintain strong communication across site, office, and client teams
What We're Looking For:
- 1-4 years' experience in construction project management or engineering
- Background in commercial, industrial, healthcare, life sciences, or similar construction preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Proficient with common construction management software and MS Office
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
