Position Overview:

Our clients are seeking a highly skilled Building Automation Technician with expertise in Distech Controls and Tridium Niagara platforms to support mission-critical data center environments in Northern Virginia. This role is ideal for a technician who thrives in high-performance settings and is passionate about optimizing building systems for reliability, efficiency, and scalability.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, program, and commission BAS systems using Distech and Tridium Niagara platforms.
  • Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on building automation and HVAC control systems in data center facilities.
  • Ensure system uptime and performance meet the stringent requirements of mission-critical environments.
  • Collaborate with engineers, facility managers, and IT teams to integrate BAS with other building systems.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, updates, and service activities.
  • Provide technical support and training to on-site personnel as needed.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience with Distech Controls and Tridium Niagara (AX/N4) systems.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC systems, electrical controls, and networking protocols (BACnet, Modbus, LON).
  • Experience working in or supporting data center environments.
  • Ability to read and interpret control drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Niagara N4 certification.
  • Distech Controls certification or equivalent experience.
  • Familiarity with data center operations, uptime requirements, and redundancy systems.
  • Experience with integration of third-party systems (e.g., lighting, access control, energy monitoring).
