Building Envelope Consultant
A well-established engineering and architectural consultancy is seeking a Building Envelope Consultant to join its team. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead building envelope investigations, assessments, and remediation projects
- Conduct structural inspections, water intrusion studies, and condition assessments
- Prepare and review technical reports, drawings, and specifications
- Oversee construction administration, including site visits and contractor coordination
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and staffing
- Collaborate with legal teams, property stakeholders, and contractors
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to internal training and development
Requirements:
- Licensed PE or RA
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in building envelope consulting or related fields
- Expertise in envelope systems, waterproofing, roofing, and façade design
- Experience with forensic investigations and property condition assessments
- Familiarity with construction codes, standards, and testing protocols
- RRO, REWC, or similar certifications are considered strong assets
- Strong communication, leadership, and project management skills
