Civil Project Engineer
Job Summary
A well-established civil engineering firm is seeking a Civil Project Engineer to serve as the technical lead on a variety of projects. This role involves advanced design, analysis, and construction support, along with mentoring junior staff and collaborating with project managers and clients. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, leadership, and a collaborative mindset to help deliver high-quality results across residential and commercial development projects.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Duties
- Site grading and road design
- Stormwater conveyance and modeling (quantity & quality)
- Sewer and water system design
- TESC system design
- Land entitlement and site layout
- Specification preparation and engineer's estimates
- Other civil-related design elements
Project Management Support
- Assist in scoping work for proposals and change orders
- Support project scheduling and budget tracking
- Collaborate with technical teams to ensure project goals are met
- Participate in at least one professional or technical association
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong problem-solving and solution-oriented mindset
- Ability to work effectively with clients, agencies, and internal teams
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Up-to-date knowledge of civil codes and design standards
- Proficiency in Civil 3D, Bluebeam, and MS Office
- Excellent communication and mentoring skills
