Job Title: Director of Business Development - Strategic Accounts

Summary:
The Strategic Accounts Business Development Director is responsible for driving growth and managing client relationships across high-value accounts. This role oversees the full sales cycle-from lead generation to deal closure-engaging in both internal and external business development activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead business development initiatives targeting large commercial and industrial energy consumers.
- Identify new opportunities and cultivate long-term client partnerships across various industry sectors.
- Collaborate with internal teams to advise clients on a comprehensive suite of energy solutions, including site selection, grid interconnection, infrastructure, generation and load optimization, behind-the-meter assets, renewables, energy storage, procurement, and regulatory insights.
- Manage the full sales process, ensuring seamless transitions and exceptional client service.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor on energy strategy.
- Participate in industry events and client meetings to drive revenue growth.
- Monitor market trends and competitive dynamics to inform strategy and enhance client offerings.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Energy Management, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in sales or business development, ideally within the energy sector.
- Extensive experience in large-scale power or gas procurement, advisory, or infrastructure.
- Proven success in revenue generation and client relationship management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong understanding of energy markets and industry trends.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree (MBA or related).
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Energy Manager, Certified Business Energy Professional).
- Experience with CRM platforms and sales automation tools.
- Ability to conduct market analysis and develop strategic sales plans.
- Established network within the energy industry.
Travel Requirements:
- Willingness to travel 20-80% as needed to support business development and client engagement.
