OVERVIEW:
Join a team dedicated to delivering safe, reliable, and efficient electrical service across a broad service area. This role supports the planning and development of electrical distribution systems, contributing to long-term infrastructure improvements and operational excellence.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Interpret electrical diagrams including one-line, three-line, schematics, and wiring layouts.
- Manage projects including budgeting, reporting, and closeout activities.
- Utilize technical testing equipment and analyze resulting data.
- Collaborate with field personnel to provide engineering support and oversight.
- Apply relevant standards and regulations to engineering tasks.
- Develop solutions to meet system needs and improve reliability.
- Work cross-functionally with engineering and other departments.
- Apply electrical theory to utility operations.
Focus Area - Distribution System Planning:
- Collaborate across departments to develop short- and long-term capital project plans based on reliability, safety, asset condition, and system loading.
- Administer inspection and maintenance programs for distribution assets.
- Analyze inspection and test data to recommend corrective actions or projects.
- Maintain knowledge of system reliability metrics and performance indicators.
- Ensure compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
- Prioritize and forecast projects for capital planning.
- Prepare reports and data submissions for internal and external stakeholders.
- Use planning tools and applications to assess asset health and develop improvement programs.
- Conduct analysis to support grid modernization, reliability, and safety initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Engineer II: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology and a minimum of 5 years of transmission and distribution engineering experience.
- Engineer III: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology and a minimum of 10 years of transmission and distribution engineering experience.
- Experience with PC-based software, including Excel, preferred.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Must pass identity verification and a criminal background check in accordance with industry standards.

- Standard work hours are Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with occasional extended hours.
- May include responsibilities related to system restoration and emergency response.
