Salary: $100,000 - 150,000
Position Overview:
We are seeking experienced and driven professionals for an Environmental Permitting Specialist position to lead and support environmental studies and permitting efforts, primarily for electric transmission projects. This hybrid role involves technical execution, task leadership, client and agency coordination, and project management. The position may be based in various office or remote locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead environmental investigations and prepare permit applications and technical reports.
- Coordinate studies on wetlands, streams, endangered species, and cultural resources.
- Manage project tasks including budgets, scopes, schedules, and quality control.
- Support proposal development, cost estimating, and multi-project coordination.
- Communicate with clients, regulatory agencies, and participate in public outreach.
- Ensure compliance by preparing accurate documentation and applying environmental regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Sciences, Biology, Ecology, or a related field.
- 8-10 years of experience in environmental consulting, utilities, or regulatory sectors.
- Proven expertise in environmental permitting PA, WV, OH, MD, NJ, and/or VA.
- Strong leadership, organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively while managing technical and logistical project elements.
- Erosion and Sediment Control Certificate is a plus
