Overview:
We're seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Estimator to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a strong background estimating large-scale projects in the industrial, higher education, or healthcare sectors. You'll play a key role in shaping our project pipeline by delivering accurate, competitive, and well-documented estimates.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare detailed cost estimates for projects exceeding $20M, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive bid packages.
Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and clients during preconstruction.
Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options.
Maintain historical cost data and contribute to continuous improvement of estimating tools and processes.
Participate in bid reviews and presentations to leadership and clients.
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in construction estimating, with a focus on projects over $20M.
Proven experience in at least one of the following sectors: industrial, higher education, or healthcare.
Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, ProEst, Sage Estimating, or similar).
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
