Field Service Technician

Key Responsibilities

  • Offer expert-level guidance to clients on optimizing system performance and application efficiency.
  • Provide consultative support for system installations, calibrations, and remote monitoring technologies.
  • Conduct hands-on servicing of mechanical systems, including pumps, piping, chemical dosing units, and storage tanks, ensuring operational reliability.
  • Collaborate closely with clients and internal account teams to strengthen relationships and ensure service satisfaction.
  • Facilitate technical training sessions for customers as needed.
  • Recognize and communicate potential sales opportunities to the appropriate business development teams.
  • Generate detailed service documentation in alignment with company standards using designated digital tools.
  • Maintain all assigned tools, instruments, safety gear, and company vehicles in proper working condition.
  • Complete required administrative tasks, including compliance with safety and skills training programs.
  • Manage on-site inventory and ensure availability of necessary supplies.
  • Meet or exceed service performance metrics, including safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure all work is performed in accordance with company and client safety protocols and operational procedures.

Qualifications

Education & Certification:

  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry, engineering, or a related technical discipline preferred.
  • Valid driver's license required.

Experience:

  • At least 5 years of experience in maintenance or water treatment services.
  • Advanced understanding of water treatment principles, systems, and terminology.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to deliver effective presentations.
  • In-depth knowledge of cooling towers, boilers, wastewater treatment, and sanitation systems.
  • Skilled in using diagnostic and monitoring equipment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and customer relationship management (CRM) software.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
  • Capable of lifting up to 60 lbs manually and up to 300 lbs with equipment.
  • Must be able to climb stairs and ladders.
  • Visual acuity sufficient for working with computers and electronic devices.
  • Willingness to work overtime and travel as needed.
