A fast-growing company in the renewable energy industry is seeking a Finance & Accounting Specialist with 3-5 years of experience to support its expanding operations across the United States. This full-time role, based in Charlotte, NC, offers the opportunity to contribute to strategic financial planning and play a key role in supporting clean energy projects nationwide.
About the Role
As part of a mission-driven team focused on accelerating the transition to sustainable energy, you will help shape the financial strategy behind a growing portfolio. You'll work closely with financial institutions and internal stakeholders to ensure the company's financial health and long-term growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and secure financing solutions for renewable energy projects across the U.S.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with banks and financial partners.
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and transparency.
- Deliver monthly financial reports to senior leadership, offering insights into performance and strategic direction.
- Conduct bank reconciliations and ensure consistency in financial records.
- Manage treasury operations and monitor cash flow to support project development and operations.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations in collaboration with external CPA firms.
- Support financial audits and provide accurate documentation.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts for a growing project pipeline.
- Review and improve internal financial policies and procedures.
- Oversee ERP data entry and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting.
Qualifications
- Experience: 3-5 years in finance or accounting, preferably in infrastructure, energy, or project-based industries.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Skills:
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and Power BI.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Adaptability to shifting business strategies and project timelines.
- Self-starter with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Spanish language skills are a plus.
- Residency in Charlotte, NC is required.
