Role Overview
We are seeking a Forensic Architect to join the Building Diagnostics Group, a multidisciplinary team focused on solving complex building performance issues. This role is ideal for an architect with a passion for investigative work, technical problem-solving, and a desire to grow within a collaborative, forward-thinking environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct forensic investigations of building envelope failures, water intrusion, material degradation, and construction defects.
- Perform site assessments, condition surveys, and diagnostic testing.
- Analyze architectural and construction documents to identify design or construction deficiencies.
- Prepare detailed technical reports, repair recommendations, and litigation support documentation.
- Collaborate with structural engineers, material scientists, and legal teams.
- Provide expert witness testimony when required.
- Contribute to business development efforts and client relationship management.
Qualifications
- Professional degree in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch).
- Licensed Architect (RA) preferred or on licensure track.
- 5+ years of experience in building envelope design, construction, or forensic architecture.
- Strong knowledge of building systems, materials, and codes.
- Experience with litigation support or expert witness work is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Curious mindset with a desire to grow technically and professionally.
