A leading heavy civil contractor is seeking an experienced Safety Manager to support utility and infrastructure projects in the Manassas, VA area.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee project safety programs and ensure OSHA/VOSH compliance.
- Conduct site inspections, JHAs, and safety audits.
- Lead safety training, orientations, and toolbox talks.
- Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain safety documentation and support field teams in hazard prevention.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of safety experience in heavy civil or utility construction.
- Strong knowledge of excavation, trenching, and equipment safety standards.
- Effective communication with field staff and management.
- Valid driver's license; regional travel required.
- Certifications: OSHA 30 (required), First Aid/CPR (required), CHST or CSP (preferred), Competent Person (preferred).
