HR Manager

A leading renewable energy developer specializing in utility-scale solar and storage projects across Northern Asia is seeking an experienced HR Manager to join their Tokyo-based team. With over a decade of experience and a development pipeline exceeding 700MW, the company is entering a dynamic growth phase, aiming to expand by 10-15 new hires annually.

Key Responsibilities

  • Talent Acquisition & Recruitment

    • Lead end-to-end recruitment processes to support annual hiring targets.
    • Develop and execute talent acquisition strategies to attract top-tier professionals in engineering, project development, and corporate functions.
    • Build relationships with recruitment agencies, universities, and industry networks.
  • HR Policy & Compliance

    • Establish, implement, and update HR policies in alignment with Japanese labor laws and global best practices.
    • Ensure compliance with employment regulations and internal governance standards.
  • HR Operations & Generalist Duties

    • Oversee employee onboarding, performance management, and offboarding processes.
    • Manage compensation and benefits administration.
    • Support employee relations, conflict resolution, and engagement initiatives.
  • Organizational Development

    • Partner with leadership to support workforce planning and organizational design.
    • Drive initiatives that foster a high-performance, inclusive, and collaborative culture.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of HR experience, preferably in a fast-growing or international environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Japanese labor law and HR best practices.
  • Fluent in Japanese and proficient in English.
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multicultural team.
