Hydraulic/Hydropower Structural Engineer
We are representing a nationally recognized engineering firm at the forefront of water, wastewater, and environmental infrastructure. This firm is known for delivering innovative, sustainable solutions to complex challenges in the public and private sectors.
They are seeking a Senior Structural Engineer with deep expertise in hydraulic and hydropower structures to join their growing team. This is a high-impact role focused on the design and delivery of critical infrastructure such as dams, spillways, pump stations, intake structures, and water/wastewater treatment facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead structural design and analysis for hydraulic and hydropower infrastructure projects.
- Develop design calculations, technical specifications, and construction documents.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across civil, geotechnical, mechanical, and environmental disciplines.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
- Support project delivery from concept through construction, including site inspections and client coordination.
- Ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards (ACI, ASCE, USACE, FERC, etc.).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- 8+ years of experience in structural design for water infrastructure projects.
- Strong background in hydraulic structures, hydropower, and treatment facilities.
- PE license required; SE license preferred.
- Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., SAP2000, STAAD.Pro, RISA).
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
