MEP Manager - Travelling
We are working with a leading Owner's Representative delivering large-scale data center and mission critical projects across the U.S. They are looking to appoint an experienced MEP Project Manager to oversee mechanical, electrical, and plumbing execution from design through commissioning.
This is a fully remote role, with regular travel to project sites.
The Role
As the MEP Project Manager, you will act as the owner's technical lead, managing MEP scope and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and to the highest technical standards. You will coordinate closely with design teams, general contractors, specialty trades, and commissioning partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent the owner on all MEP-related matters across multiple data center and mission critical projects
- Manage MEP design coordination, constructability reviews, and technical decision-making
- Oversee contractor performance, schedules, budgets, and change management
- Lead MEP oversight during construction, testing, commissioning, and turnover
- Identify and mitigate risk related to power, cooling, redundancy, and resiliency systems
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and industry best practices
- Provide clear reporting to ownership and senior stakeholders
Requirements
- Background in MEP project management within data centers or mission critical facilities
- Experience working for an Owner's Rep, developer, or consulting firm preferred
- Strong understanding of electrical distribution, mechanical cooling systems, and redundancy concepts
- Proven ability to manage contractors and consultants on complex projects
- Comfortable working remotely with frequent site travel
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
