Job Requirements

Education & Core Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electrical Technology, or a technical discipline.
  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively as needed.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with PCs
  • Self‑motivated with strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Hands-on experience with testing, diagnosing issues, and commissioning systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.

Safety & Compliance

  • Must be able to pass a DOT‑compliant drug screening.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving history.

Industry Knowledge

  • Understanding of oil and gas operations
  • Familiarity with industrial networking.
  • Experience with Allen‑Bradley PLCs and related Rockwell Automation software.

Additional Helpful Skills (Preferred but Not Required)

  • PLC wiring.
  • Experience with ScadaPack PLCs and Telepace Studio.
  • Knowledge of Red Lion HMIs and protocol converters.
  • Prosoft communication gateways.
  • Industrial communication protocols (Modbus, etc.).
  • Experience with flow computers (OMNI, ROC, Spirit).
  • HART device configuration.
  • Control valves and motor‑operated valves.
  • VFDs, soft starters, and general motor control systems.

Training will be provided for candidates.


Job Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and track progress on assigned projects.
  • Create electrical and control system drawings and collaborate with drafting teams.
  • Develop standard design templates and documentation.
  • Program PLCs and contribute to building standardized code libraries.
  • Review design drawings prior to programming activities.
  • Perform field start‑ups, testing, and commissioning of automation systems.

Compensation & Benefits

Pay

  • Salary range equivalent to approximately $100,000-$170,000 per year, based on experience and skill level.
  • Hourly equivalent: $25.00 - $65.00 per hour.
  • Expected workload: 40-60 hours per week.
  • Opportunity for performance‑based bonuses.

  • 2+ years reviewing and interpreting electrical schematics (required).
