About the Role
An established multidisciplinary consulting firm is seeking a Principal‑Level Environmental Engineer, Geologist, or Scientist with deep expertise in site investigation and remediation to join their growing environmental consulting practice in Texas. This is a senior leadership role for a seasoned consultant who excels in client-facing work, project delivery, and business development.
The ideal candidate will bring strong technical credentials, a proven consulting track record, and the ability to build and maintain trusted relationships with clients across industrial, commercial, and public‑sector markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead complex site investigation and remediation projects, including soil, groundwater, vapor intrusion, and regulatory compliance programs
- Serve as a technical and strategic advisor to clients, regulators, and internal teams
- Act as a primary client contact, managing relationships and identifying opportunities for expanded services
- Drive client development and revenue growth through proposal leadership, scope development, and networking
- Provide senior technical review of investigation reports, remedial action plans, and closure documentation
- Mentor and develop junior and mid‑level staff; contribute to team growth and technical excellence
- Collaborate with regional and national leadership on strategy, staffing, and market expansion in Texas
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in environmental consulting, with a strong emphasis on site assessment and remediation
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science, or a related discipline
- Professional registration (PE and/or PG) strongly preferred
- Demonstrated success in client-facing roles, including repeat business and long‑term client relationships
- Proven experience with business development, proposal leadership, and revenue generation
- Solid working knowledge of Texas and federal environmental regulations (e.g., TCEQ, EPA)
- Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills
Preferred Experience
- Experience leading large or multi‑site remediation programs
- Familiarity with brownfields, industrial facilities, commercial developments, or energy‑related projects
- Established professional network within one or more major Texas markets
Location & Flexibility
This role is based in Texas, with preference for candidates located near or willing to be based in Dallas-Fort Worth, Austin, San Antonio, or Houston. Flexible or hybrid work arrangements may be available depending on location and business needs.
