Process Engineer
We are seeking a Senior Process Engineer to lead the design, optimization, and implementation of advanced biological treatment systems for industrial and municipal wastewater applications. This role is ideal for a technically strong, hands-on engineer with deep experience in anaerobic and aerobic processes, and a passion for sustainable water technologies.
About the Role:
As a Senior Process Engineer, you will be responsible for developing process designs, supporting project execution, and providing technical leadership across a range of biological treatment technologies. You'll work closely with clients, project managers, and internal R&D teams to deliver high-performance solutions that meet environmental and operational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead process design and engineering for biological wastewater treatment systems, including anaerobic reactors, aerobic polishing, and nutrient removal.
- Develop mass balances, hydraulic profiles, P&IDs, and control strategies for custom systems.
- Support pilot testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of full-scale installations.
- Collaborate with sales and proposal teams to develop technical solutions and scope documents.
- Interface with clients, consultants, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance and performance.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement of design standards and tools.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical, Environmental, or Civil Engineering.
- 7+ years of experience in process engineering for biological wastewater treatment systems.
- Strong knowledge of anaerobic digestion, bioreactor design, and industrial wastewater characteristics.
- Experience with process modeling tools (e.g., BioWin, GPS-X) and data analysis.
- Excellent communication and project coordination skills.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (up to 25%) for site visits, commissioning, and client support.
