Project Engineer
An established and employee-focused environmental consulting firm is seeking a Project Engineer to join its San Francisco-based site assessment and remediation team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated engineer to work on meaningful environmental projects with a highly regarded, collaborative team.
We're looking for someone with strong technical skills in environmental investigation and remediation, who is ready to take the next step in their consulting career by managing tasks, supporting clients, and mentoring junior staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and execute environmental site investigations, feasibility studies, and remediation projects.
Develop technical reports, sampling plans, data analyses, and regulatory submittals in compliance with DTSC, Water Boards, and other agency requirements.
Support project management efforts, including budgeting, scheduling, and client communication.
Provide field oversight for drilling, soil/groundwater sampling, remediation system installation, and operation.
Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to high-quality deliverables.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in environmental, civil, or chemical engineering or a related field.
Engineer-in-Training (EIT) required; California PE preferred or ability to obtain within a year.
4-8 years of experience in environmental consulting, with a focus on site assessment and remediation.
Proficiency in relevant regulations (e.g., CERCLA, RCRA, California-specific programs).
Strong writing, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to work in both office and field environments.

Salary Range:
$95,000 - $125,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
