Senior Associate Engineer - Water Resources
Our client is seeking a Senior Associate Engineer with a strong background in stormwater management to lead and support coastal and environmental projects across Virginia and the Mid-Atlantic. This role offers the chance to work on technically challenging and environmentally impactful initiatives in a collaborative, forward-thinking setting.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of stormwater management systems in coastal and environmentally sensitive areas
- Perform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, permitting, and regulatory compliance
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including environmental scientists, planners, and construction managers
- Provide mentorship and technical leadership to junior engineering staff
- Engage with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies to ensure successful project delivery
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Water Resources Engineering
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in stormwater and water resources engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Virginia, or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Proficiency in modeling software such as SWMM, HEC-RAS, and HydroCAD
- Strong communication, leadership, and project management skills
