Senior Electrical Designer
Location: West Palm Beach or Merritt Island, FL (On-Site)

A growing multidisciplinary consulting engineering firm is seeking a Senior Electrical Designer to join its MEP team. This role offers the opportunity to lead electrical design efforts on a diverse portfolio of commercial, healthcare, education, government, and institutional projects while collaborating closely with engineers, designers, and project teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead electrical design from concept through construction documents
- Develop Revit MEP models and electrical construction drawings
- Design power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, grounding, and low-voltage systems
- Perform electrical calculations including load analysis and equipment sizing
- Coordinate with mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, architectural, and structural teams
- Support construction administration through submittal review, RFIs, and site observations
- Mentor junior designers and contribute to quality control initiatives
Qualifications
- 5+ years of MEP consulting electrical design experience
- Strong proficiency with Revit MEP
- Experience designing power, lighting, and building systems
- Knowledge of NEC, NFPA, IBC, and applicable building codes
- Familiarity with SKM, ETAP, or similar power system analysis software
- Experience with multidisciplinary coordination and clash detection
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Preferred Experience
- Healthcare, education, government, federal, or mission-critical facilities
- Fire alarm and low-voltage systems design
- Aviation or transportation projects
- AGi32 or other photometric modeling software
- LEED accreditation
