Senior MEP Manager (Owner's Representative - Data Centers)

Location: Travelling Role (Primary Project: Buffalo, NY)
Salary: $170,000 - $190,000 + package

The Opportunity

This is an opportunity for an experienced MEP professional to take on a leadership role across large-scale data center builds nationwide. The position will initially focus on a project in Buffalo, NY, with ongoing travel required to support projects across the US.

As a Senior MEP Manager, you will act as the Owner's representative, driving the successful delivery of all MEP systems while overseeing complex coordination, stakeholder management, and high-level project execution.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all MEP-focused activities on behalf of the Owner across multiple project phases
  • Oversee Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing scopes from preconstruction through commissioning and closeout
  • Act as the primaryMEP point of contact for:
    • General Contractors
    • Subcontractors
    • Design teams and consultants
  • Provide strategic oversight of:
    • MEP schedules, budgets, and cost tracking
    • RFIs, submittals, and technical reviews
  • Monitor site progress and ensure projects meet quality, safety, and timeline expectations
  • Lead commissioning efforts and coordinate with specialist teams to ensure full system functionality
  • Identify project risks early and implement mitigation strategies
  • Deliver clear, high-level reporting to key stakeholders and ownership teams

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in MEP construction, project management, or mission-critical environments
  • Proven experience delivering data center or mission-critical projects
  • Background working for an Owner's Rep, General Contractor, or major trade contractor in a senior MEP capacity
  • Strong technical expertise across mechanical and electrical systems, including commissioning
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage complex stakeholder environments
  • Willingness to travel extensively across the US as project demands require
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and client-facing skills
