Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, design, and permitting of site/civil land development projects for public and private clients
- Serve as the technical lead on projects from concept through construction, overseeing site layout, grading, drainage, utilities, stormwater management, and erosion & sediment control
- Coordinate and integrate civil design with geotechnical, environmental, and utility disciplines
- Prepare and review engineering deliverables including plans, reports, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates
- Collaborate closely with office leadership on project execution, staff utilization, and long‑term growth planning
- Mentor junior engineers and designers and contribute to a team‑oriented, high‑performance culture
- Participate in client coordination, proposal development, and technical writing as needed
- Attend client meetings and periodic site visits
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- 6+ of progressive site/civil engineering experience with a strong focus on land development
- Proven ability to lead site/civil design efforts across a variety of project types and scales
- Strong expertise in grading, drainage, stormwater management, utilities, and erosion control
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil3D
- Experience with permitting at the local, state, and federal levels
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including technical and proposal writing
- Strong attention to detail with sound engineering judgment and multitasking abilities
- Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively
- Valid driver's license for client meetings and site visits
