Senior Structural Engineer
A leading international engineering and design consultancy is seeking experienced and motivated Structural Engineers with 5-10 years of experience to join their growing team in Kansas City. You'll be part of a team that designs innovative structures across a wide range of sectors-commercial, healthcare, education, sports, and public infrastructure. You'll contribute to all phases of design and construction, while continuing to grow your technical and leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform structural analysis and design of concrete, steel, and other structural systems
- Develop and interpret 2D and 3D structural models
- Assist with construction administration, including site visits and shop drawing reviews
- Understand and apply building codes to determine gravity and lateral load paths
- Support the preparation of design drawings, specifications, cost estimates, and technical reports
- Collaborate closely with structural engineers and project managers in a team-oriented environment
What We're Looking For
- Master's degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Structural Engineering
- 4-8 years of relevant experience
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in your resident state
- Proficiency in structural analysis and design software
- Experience with Revit, Rhino, or Grasshopper is a plus
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- A collaborative mindset and a client-focused attitude
