About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Water Resources Project Manager to lead and grow our presence in Northeast Florida, with a focus on the Jacksonville and St. Augustine regions. This position combines technical leadership, project management, and business development, offering the opportunity to oversee complex water resources projects while expanding client partnerships in the public and private sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage water resources and civil engineering projects from planning through design and delivery.
- Serve as Project Manager on major municipal assignments, ensuring quality, schedule, and budget performance.
- Oversee development of hydrologic and hydraulic models for stormwater systems and watershed studies.
- Direct preparation of drainage studies, stormwater master plans, and resiliency strategies.
- Guide design of municipal infrastructure, including stormwater conveyance and storage systems (channels, culverts, detention/retention facilities, etc.).
- Integrate climate adaptation, sea level rise, and low-impact development (LID) principles into project solutions.
- Provide technical oversight on construction documents, specifications, and engineering reports.
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to team development and technical excellence.
- Lead client engagement efforts, including proposal development, presentations, and relationship management.
- Support business development initiatives, identify growth opportunities, and help expand regional market presence.
- Coordinate with local, state, and federal agencies for permitting and regulatory compliance.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Water Resources focus preferred).
- License: Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in Florida is a must.
- Experience: 10+ years of progressive experience in water resources engineering and project management.
- Proven track record managing municipal or infrastructure projects.
- Strong expertise in hydrology, hydraulics, and stormwater system design.
- Experience with H&H modeling tools (StormWise/ICPR strongly preferred).
- Demonstrated success in client management and/or business development activities.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
- Ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and travel within the region as needed.
- Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and ArcGIS is preferred.
