About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Civil / Water Resources Design Engineer to contribute to the planning, design, and delivery of large-scale municipal water, wastewater, and stormwater projects. This role offers exposure to technically challenging work across treatment facilities, conveyance systems, and integrated water infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and contribute to the design of water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure projects.
- Develop engineering designs including site layout, grading and drainage, hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, and system layouts.
- Support design of treatment facilities, pump stations, pipelines, and storage systems.
- Review and refine technical designs to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Conduct site evaluations and incorporate findings into engineering solutions.
- Prepare and review technical documentation, reports, and design calculations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across planning, environmental, and construction functions.
- Contribute to technical knowledge sharing, including development of white papers and innovation initiatives.
- Support proposal development and participate in client engagement efforts.
- Mentor junior engineers and support team development.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (or related discipline).
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is a must.
- 7+ years of experience in civil or water resources design.
- Strong background in municipal infrastructure design, including water/wastewater/stormwater systems.
- Solid understanding of hydrology, hydraulics, and engineering design principles.
- Proficiency with CADD design tools and engineering software.
- Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
- Strong communication and technical writing skills.
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Experience with advanced design tools and digital delivery platforms (3D/4D modeling).
- Exposure to emerging technologies in water engineering, including data analytics, automation, or AI-driven design workflows.
- Experience supporting proposals and client-facing activities.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor junior staff and collaborate across teams.
