Senior/Solutions Manager

Position Overview

The Senior/Solutions Manager plays a key role in delivering robust, scalable, and high‑availability engineering solutions for mission‑critical facilities, particularly data centres. This role combines customer engagement, technical leadership, and design management to support pre‑sales, design development, and project execution.


Key Responsibilities

1. Customer & Solution Engagement

  • Deliver technical consulting and develop conceptual designs that meet customer requirements for capacity, uptime, and energy efficiency.
  • Support sales teams during pre‑sales and tender phases by developing technical proposals, equipment strategies, and comprehensive power distribution concepts.
  • Manage RFP submissions and prepare essential technical and engineering documentation, including detailed RFP reviews and requirement analysis.
  • Oversee the preparation of critical technical and sales materials, such as advanced M&E schematics and technical presentation content.
  • Coordinate and facilitate customer workshops, technical sessions, and meetings to ensure clear and effective communication.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure proposed solutions align with customer objectives and company strategy.
  • Participate in customer negotiations on technical requirements, deviations, and alternative solutions.

2. Technical Leadership

  • Lead the preparation of pitch decks, presentation packages, and technical collateral for customers and executive audiences.
  • Contribute to and pioneer engineering solutions, including design development, calculations, and analytical engineering work.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to gather and align all required inputs for proposal and solution development.
  • Conduct formal design reviews and technical audits at key project milestones, including:
    • Concept design
    • Schematic design
    • Detailed design
    • Issued for Construction (IFC)
  • Ensure all designs are cost‑effective, high‑performing, scalable, and operationally maintainable.

3. Design Management

  • Lead and manage the end‑to‑end design process for data centre projects, maintaining direct communication with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Review and validate detailed design deliverables from consultants and contractors to preserve design intent, coordination, and constructability.
  • Work closely with construction and commissioning teams to ensure a smooth transition from design to installation and handover.

Job Requirements

Education & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Master's degree and/or Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent registration is an advantage.

Experience

  • Minimum of 8 years' experience in building design, engineering, or a related field.
  • Customer‑facing or solution consulting experience is an advantage.
  • Proven experience leading electrical and/or mechanical system designs from concept through completion.
  • Strong understanding of redundant architectures and high‑availability system design.
  • Demonstrated track record in delivering large‑scale data centre projects (IT load > 20 MW) or similar mission‑critical facilities.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills to address design and construction challenges effectively.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
  • Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, and Revit (BIM).
  • Familiarity with ETAP, SKM Power Tools, or similar electrical analysis software is an advantage.
  • Able to perform effectively under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and deliver results in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Positive, proactive mindset with a strong willingness to learn and take initiative.
