Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and driven Structural Engineer with 6-10 years of experience to join our client's team in Berkeley, CA. This role offers the opportunity to work on impactful healthcare and education projects, alongside a team of passionate professionals in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and analyze structural systems for healthcare, education, commercial, and institutional buildings.
  • Prepare detailed engineering calculations, drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with design intent and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with architects, contractors, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Utilize structural analysis and design software (e.g., ETABS, SAP2000, STAAD.Pro).
  • Ensure all designs meet applicable codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Contribute to project planning, budgeting, and scheduling.
  • Mentor junior engineers and support their technical development.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's preferred).
  • PE license in California or ability to obtain within 6 months.
  • 6-10 years of structural engineering experience, ideally with healthcare and/or education projects.
  • Proficiency in structural analysis software and BIM tools.
  • Strong knowledge of IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, and other relevant codes.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
