They have began expanding their presence in the Southeast, and are now seeking a talented and motivated Structural Engineer to join their remote team in the Carolinas, working under the guidance of a Senior Engineer based in the region.

Role Overview
This is a remote position focused on light-frame wood construction projects, including multifamily residential and mixed-use developments. You will have experience in wood-frame design and a strong understanding of structural engineering principles. You'll collaborate with architects, developers, and internal teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform structural analysis and design for wood-frame buildings.
  • Prepare construction documents, including drawings and specifications.
  • Coordinate with project stakeholders to ensure design intent and code compliance.
  • Support the Senior Engineer in project execution and client communication.
  • Participate in internal design reviews and quality assurance processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's preferred).
  • 3+ years of experience in structural engineering, with a focus on wood-frame construction.
  • Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., RISA, ETABS, or similar).
  • Familiarity with building codes and standards (IBC, ASCE 7, NDS).
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • EIT certification required; PE license or progress toward licensure is a plus.
