Position Overview
The Structural Engineer will be responsible for performing structural analysis and design for a variety of building projects. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong technical skills and the ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct structural analysis and design using steel, concrete, masonry, and wood.
- Prepare construction documents including drawings, specifications, and calculations.
- Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other consultants to develop integrated design solutions.
- Perform site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with design intent and safety standards.
- Support project management tasks such as scheduling, budgeting, and client communication.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry codes, standards, and best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's preferred).
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas or eligibility to obtain within 6 months.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in structural engineering design.
- Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., ETABS, SAP2000, RISA, RAM).
- Strong understanding of building codes (IBC, ASCE, ACI, AISC, etc.).
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
