Superintendent / Site Supervisor - T Line
Position Summary:
The Transmission Line Site Supervisor / Superintendent is responsible for overseeing on-site activities related to the construction, installation, and commissioning of high-voltage transmission lines. This role ensures all work is executed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards, while managing subcontractors, labor, equipment, and materials.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise day-to-day construction activities for transmission line projects (typically 69kV - 500kV).
Ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, codes, and safety regulations.
Coordinate with project management, engineering, and procurement teams.
Manage subcontractors, labor crews, and equipment on site.
Conduct site inspections, safety meetings, and quality control checks.
Monitor progress and provide regular updates, reports, and documentation.
Identify and mitigate project risks and delays.
Ensure all work complies with environmental and regulatory requirements.
Enforce strict safety protocols and contribute to a zero-incident culture.
Qualifications:
Minimum 5-10 years of experience in transmission line construction, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or superintendent role.
Strong knowledge of transmission line construction methods, tools, equipment, and safety standards.
Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate teams.
Familiarity with OSHA regulations, NESC codes, and utility industry standards.
Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
Willingness to travel or relocate to project sites as required.
Preferred:
Experience with EPC projects.
OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR certifications.
CDL or ability to operate heavy equipment (preferred, not required).
