Role Overview
We are seeking a Junior to Mid-Level Sustainability Specialist with a strong foundation in climate advisory, carbon data, and ESG analytics. The successful candidate will support the delivery of climate‑related engagements, including carbon footprinting, transition planning, and environmental data analysis. This role requires a technically credible professional who can communicate effectively with enterprise-level stakeholders and contribute to both advisory and pre-sales activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver carbon footprints, transition plans, and climate reporting across multiple industries.
- Provide expertise on Scope 3 measurement, LCA, land use, and sector-specific decarbonisation pathways.
- Support mixed consulting responsibilities including advisory, delivery oversight, quality assurance, and thought leadership.
- Assist with pre‑sales activities, including presentations and technical clarifications for enterprise clients.
- Translate technical climate concepts into clear, actionable insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Contribute to the organisation's mission-driven culture and help drive climate-focused innovation within the Japan market.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 3 years in climate advisory, carbon accounting, or related sustainability fields.
- Bilingual proficiency: Native Japanese with strong business-level English.
- Demonstrated technical credibility and attention to detail in carbon or environmental data.
- Ability to represent the company confidently in the Japan market.
- Motivated, mission-driven, and eager to grow within a fast-paced sustainability environment.
- Finance background is beneficial but not essential.
