A leading global energy storage player is seeking a Technical Solutions Director to spearhead the delivery of large-scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects across Australia. This is a senior leadership role requiring deep technical expertise, hands-on project involvement, and the ability to navigate complex internal dynamics within a multinational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead technical strategy and execution for utility-scale BESS projects.
- Oversee design, implementation, and commissioning of AC systems and related components.
- Manage and mentor a team of 10 engineers and technical specialists.
- Act as the primary technical authority, ensuring compliance, performance, and delivery excellence.
- Collaborate with global HQ and internal stakeholders to resolve challenges and maintain project momentum.
- Engage with external clients and partners to ensure smooth delivery and strong relationships.
What We're Looking For:
- Proven experience in utility-scale BESS projects in Australia.
- Track record of delivering multi-GW scale projects over at least 3 years.
- Strong technical knowledge of AC systems and power engineering.
- Prior team leadership experience with a hands-on approach.
- Ability to thrive in cross-cultural corporate environments; Mandarin skills a plus.
- Strategic thinker with strong stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.
