Senior Traffic Engineer - Tucson, AZ

We are working with a client who is seeking a diverse and experienced Senior Traffic Engineer to help lead and grow our traffic engineering practice in Tucson. This is a strategic hire for a professional with 10-15 years of experience in traffic engineering, who is ready to take ownership of the office and drive business development efforts.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage traffic studies, traffic control plans, and transportation design projects.
Serve as a technical expert and mentor to junior staff.
Develop and maintain client relationships to support business development and win new work.
Oversee project delivery, ensuring quality, timeliness, and budget compliance.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across the company.
Support strategic growth of the Tucson office with a long-term vision for leadership.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field (PE license required).
10-15 years of progressive experience in traffic engineering.
Proven ability to lead projects and teams, and win work through client relationships.
Strong understanding of traffic control, safety, and design standards.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Experience working in Arizona or similar markets preferred.
