Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate development plans for transportation impacts and regulatory compliance.
- Conduct research, analyze data, and document existing conditions.
- Collaborate with roadway design teams to create conceptual alternatives for infrastructure improvements (e.g., intersections, interchanges, pedestrian and multimodal facilities).
- Assist in the preparation of feasibility studies, environmental documentation, and technical reports.
- Perform quality assurance and quality control reviews to ensure accuracy and adherence to standards.
- Support business development efforts related to PD&E and planning projects.
- Help organize and facilitate public meetings and stakeholder engagement activities.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external partners across multiple disciplines.
- Engage with community members, special populations, and key stakeholders throughout the planning process.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in urban planning, civil engineering, geography, environmental science, or a related field.
- Eligibility for Professional Engineer (PE) licensure or AICP certification in Florida.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in transportation planning or PD&E projects.
- Familiarity with NEPA and Florida-specific environmental and planning procedures.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to convey complex technical information.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and critical thinking abilities.
- Capable of working independently and managing multiple tasks.
- Willingness to work flexible hours for public engagement events.
