1st class Civil Permit Manager
We're seeking a Civil 1st Class Permit Manager to lead and coordinate permitting activities for civil engineering projects in Japan.
About the Role
As a key member of the engineering team, you will be responsible for managing all civil-related permits and ensuring compliance with Japanese construction laws and regulations. This role involves close collaboration with local authorities, consultants, and internal teams to support the successful execution of infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the permitting process for civil engineering works.
- Conduct site assessments, visits, and prepare related reports.
- Ensure all documentation meets regulatory standards.
- Support the design and construction teams throughout project phases.
- Monitor construction progress and ensure adherence to design plans.
- Resolve on-site issues and implement necessary adjustments.
- Maintain safety and quality standards at construction sites.
- Prepare and update technical specifications and project schedules.
Qualifications
- Valid Civil Engineering 1st Class License in Japan (１級土木施工管理）
- Minimum 10 years of experience in civil construction.
- Strong command of Japanese; English proficiency is a plus.
- Proven track record working with Japanese regulatory bodies.
- Experience in renewable energy or solar power projects (preferred).
- Familiarity with BIM/CAD tools.
- In-depth knowledge of Japanese civil and construction law.
- Driver's license required.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
