Position Summary

We are seeking a Licensed Architect with demonstrated experience in either Higher Education projects or Federal government work. This role supports the planning, design, and delivery of complex institutional projects within regulated environments. The ideal candidate brings strong technical skills, an understanding of public sector processes, and the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and diverse stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery

  • Lead and support architectural projects from programming and schematic design through construction administration
  • Coordinate project scope, schedule, and consultant integration
  • Contribute to project decision making while meeting client standards and contractual requirements

Sector Specific Experience

  • Work on academic, research, administrative, or campus facilities for colleges and universities
    or
  • Work on facilities for Federal agencies, including compliance driven and security sensitive projects
  • Participate in user group meetings, agency reviews, and approval processes specific to the client type

Technical and Regulatory Oversight

  • Ensure compliance with applicable building codes and accessibility standards
  • Apply knowledge of institutional or Federal design standards, guidelines, and review requirements as applicable
  • Participate in quality control reviews of drawings and technical documentation

Team and Client Collaboration

  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, consultants, and clients throughout all project phases
  • Participate in meetings, presentations, and coordination sessions
  • Provide guidance to junior staff as appropriate

Required Qualifications

  • Licensed Architect in the United States
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture
  • Experience in Higher Education projects or Federal government work
  • Strong knowledge of architectural production, detailing, and construction documentation
  • Experience working within regulated or public sector environments
  • Proficiency with Revit and standard project communication tools
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem solving skills

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with academic, research, administrative, or government facilities
  • Familiarity with Federal or institutional standards such as GSA, UFC, or campus design guidelines
  • Experience managing projects with multiple stakeholders and approval authorities
