A well-established regional general contractor is seeking an experienced Area Superintendent to help lead the construction of a multimillion-dollar higher education project in Gainesville, Florida.
This is an opportunity to join a growing builder with a strong presence across the education, healthcare, and commercial sectors. Working alongside senior project leadership, you will play a key role in driving field operations, coordinating multiple work areas, and ensuring the successful delivery of a high-profile campus development.
Key responsibilities of the Area Superintendent include:
- Provide leadership and oversight for designated areas of the project from site mobilization through completion.
- Coordinate and direct Assistant Superintendents, Field Engineers, subcontractors, and trade partners.
- Maintain project safety, quality, and schedule performance across all assigned scopes.
- Assist with site utilization planning, scheduling, phasing, and constructability reviews.
- Work closely with the Project Manager and scheduling team to develop, maintain, and actively manage the Primavera P6 master schedule.
Key requirements of the Area Superintendent include:
- Strong commercial or healthcare construction experience, including experience as a Superintendent or Area Superintendent.
- Experience on ground-up projects valued at $50M+.
- Proven success delivering large-scale education, public-sector, or institutional projects.
- Strong understanding of scheduling, sequencing, site logistics, and subcontractor management.
