Automation Engineer - Japan
About Us: We are currently working closely with a leading company in the infrastructure sector who due to recent success is expanding their team and looking for an Automation Engineer who has extensive experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement automation systems using PLCs.
- Program, test, and troubleshoot PLC systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate automation solutions into existing processes.
- Conduct regular maintenance and upgrades of PLC systems to enhance reliability and efficiency.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including schematics, wiring diagrams, and user manuals.
- Provide technical support and training to staff on PLC systems and automation technologies.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations in all automation projects.
- Analyze and optimize production processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in designing and programming PLC systems (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi).
- Strong knowledge of industrial automation, control systems, and instrumentation.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and technical drawings.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of HMI (Human-Machine Interface) and SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with robotics and motion control systems.
- Familiarity with industrial networking protocols (e.g., Ethernet/IP, Modbus).
- Certification in PLC programming or automation engineering.
