About the Role:
A top-tier engineering consultancy is looking for an Automation SCADA Engineer to help deliver high-availability SCADA systems for hyperscale data centers (10-200MW+). You'll work under a Senior SCADA Engineer to build intuitive HMIs, dashboards, and historian integrations that keep mission-critical infrastructure running 24/7.
What You'll Do:
Develop Ignition Perspective/Vision projects, UDTs, and templates
Script in Python and SQL; configure alarming, redundancy, and MQTT pipelines
Integrate with PLCs and field devices using BACnet/IP, Modbus TCP, OPC UA, and MQTT
Support FAT/SAT and Level 4/5 commissioning
Contribute to SCADA standards, cybersecurity checklists, and QC processes
Collaborate with PLC, networking, and commissioning teams
What You Bring
4+ years of hands-on SCADA development (Ignition platform required)
Strong scripting (Python/SQL) and UI/UX design for industrial applications
Experience with industrial protocols and systems integration
Familiarity with Git, Jira, and basic Linux/Windows server admin
Calm, clear communicator with strong attention to detail
Bonus Points:
Ignition 8.1 Gold Certification
Experience with smart building/IoT solutions
Knowledge of VLANs, VPNs, and RSTP
Travel & Work Environment
Up to 50% travel across the U.S.
