The Opportunity

As a Structural Lead within the Aviation Diagnostics practice, you will provide technical leadership and project oversight for investigations, evaluations, and rehabilitation projects involving airport terminals, parking structures, airside facilities, transportation infrastructure, and other critical aviation assets.

You will work alongside industry-leading diagnostics professionals, airport authorities, architects, owners, and program management teams to develop innovative solutions that extend the service life, performance, and resilience of aviation infrastructure.

What You'll Be Doing

• Lead structural assessments, investigations, and forensic evaluations of aviation facilities.
• Manage multidisciplinary diagnostic and rehabilitation projects from proposal through delivery.
• Develop repair, restoration, and rehabilitation recommendations for existing structures.
• Provide technical expertise related to structural deterioration, material performance, resilience, and life-cycle management.
• Conduct field investigations and condition assessments of airport infrastructure.
• Collaborate with airport authorities, program managers, contractors, architects, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers and project staff.
• Support client relationship management and contribute to business development activities within the aviation sector.
• Serve as a trusted advisor on infrastructure performance, risk mitigation, and asset preservation strategies.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• PE license required.
• 10+ years of structural engineering experience.
• Experience leading structural assessment, diagnostics, forensic, rehabilitation, restoration, or investigation projects.
• Strong understanding of existing structures, deterioration mechanisms, repair methodologies, and structural performance.
• Demonstrated project management experience including scope, schedule, budgets, and client management.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to mentor, guide, and develop engineering teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• SE license preferred.
• Aviation infrastructure experience strongly preferred.
• Experience supporting airport authorities, aviation clients, or transportation agencies.
• Background in forensic engineering, diagnostics, restoration, existing structures, or infrastructure asset management.
• Established professional network within the Southeast aviation market.
• Proven business development and client relationship experience.

Compensation & Benefits

Base Salary: $130,000 - $170,000 depending on experience, aviation sector exposure, technical expertise, project management capabilities, and leadership background.
