Aviation PM/PE - Columbus, OH
Position Summary
Responsible for delivering all project objectives for assigned projects, including scope, schedule, and budget management.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Monitor project schedules, budgets, accounts receivable, and manpower requirements; prepare and manage invoices.
- Develop comprehensive Project Management Plans for assigned projects.
- Establish project pricing structures and budgets.
- Create and maintain detailed project schedules.
- Develop and implement project-specific quality assurance plans.
- Define and coordinate project scope with stakeholders.
- Manage and coordinate subconsultant activities.
- Participate in client presentations and meetings.
- Oversee and support assigned project staff.
- Manage all technical resources within the project team.
- Prepare extra work order requests and task proposals under open-end contracts.
- Collaborate with internal leadership on marketing proposals and business development efforts.
- Lead and mentor team members through performance management, goal setting, regular feedback, and coaching to support professional growth.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Required Experience
- Bachelor's degree from an ABET-accredited engineering program.
- Professional Engineer (PE) License.
- 10+ years of experience in a specialized discipline (heavy civil transportation required; aviation experience preferred).
Preferred Experience
- Experience working with local government clients at the county and state levels.
- 5+ years of experience with airport projects following FAA or DoD standards.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D (including plan set development and surface modeling).
- Demonstrated project management and business development experience.
- Familiarity with multiple project delivery methods (e.g., Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build, P3).
- Experience managing multidisciplinary project teams.
