Aviation Project Engineer

One of the largest privately held architecture and engineering firms in the Southeast is seeking an Aviation Project Manager to support aviation projects in Atlanta, Cartersville, Augusta, or Savannah, GA. Responsibilities
- Manage aviation engineering projects including scoping, design, scheduling, budgeting, resource allocation, quality control, and client relations
- Perform engineering calculations and analysis for aviation and civil designs at general and regional aviation facilities using GDOT specifications
- Serve as the primary client contact for project planning, scheduling, funding coordination, and subcontracting
- Lead project teams to deliver high-quality services on time and within budget
- Prepare design documents, exhibits, and reports using MicroStation and OpenRoads; AutoCAD Civil 3D experience is a plus
- Ensure quality control and assurance in the development of project drawings, specifications, and reports
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field (preferred)
- Professional Engineer (PE) registration in Georgia (required)
- 6-10 years of experience in:
- Aviation or civil engineering
- FAA/GDOT aviation-related projects
- Proficiency in MicroStation (preferred) or AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to maintain records and prepare technical documentation
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites in various weather conditions
