About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Building Automation Service Technician with strong hands-on experience in Distech, Tridium Niagara, and/or Delta Controls to support our growing Nashville-based customer base. This role is focused on service, troubleshooting, and optimization of existing BAS installations across commercial buildings, healthcare facilities, and mission‑critical environments.

You'll serve as a key technical resource-diagnosing system issues, restoring performance, and strengthening long-term client relationships. What You'll Be Doing

  • Service, troubleshoot, and maintain DDC and BAS platforms (Distech, Tridium Niagara, Delta)
  • Diagnose and resolve control, communication, and network-related issues on live systems
  • Perform system inspections, preventative maintenance, and performance tuning
  • Modify existing programs, sequences, and setpoints to improve system operation
  • Update and enhance graphics, dashboards, and user interfaces as needed
  • Integrate and troubleshoot third-party devices using BACnet, Modbus, LON, and other protocols
  • Respond to service calls, emergency issues, and customer-reported system problems
  • Support system startups, recommissioning, and operational handovers
  • Document service activities, recommendations, and corrective actions
  • Communicate effectively with customers, project managers, and internal engineering teams to ensure issues are resolved completely

What We're Looking For

Required Experience & Skills

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience as a Building Automation / Controls Service Technician
  • Strong experience servicing Distech, Tridium Niagara (N4), and/or Delta Controls, including:
    • Troubleshooting live systems
    • Modifying existing programming and integrations
    • Graphics and UI adjustments
  • Proven ability to diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues
  • Solid understanding of HVAC systems, sequences of operation, and control strategies
  • Experience supporting large commercial, healthcare, or data center facilities
  • Comfortable working independently in customer-facing, field-based environments
  • Strong troubleshooting mindset, documentation habits, and attention to detail
  • Professional communication skills and a customer-first attitude

Nice-to-Have (Not Required)

  • Manufacturer or Niagara certifications
  • Experience with enterprise-level BAS networks
  • Exposure to analytics, fault detection, or energy optimization platforms
  • Experience performing recommissioning or retro-commissioning work
