Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Construction Manager to oversee the execution of utility-scale solar and BESS projects. This is a traveling role, requiring on-site leadership across multiple project locations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in renewable energy construction, excellent project management skills, and the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead on-site construction activities for solar PV and BESS installations from mobilization through commissioning.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Manage subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to maintain project schedules and resolve field issues.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and project management teams to ensure seamless execution.
- Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits, and progress reporting.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, local authorities, and stakeholders.
- Support commissioning and turnover activities in collaboration with QA/QC and operations teams.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in construction management, preferably in utility-scale solar and/or BESS projects.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale renewable energy projects.
- Strong understanding of electrical and civil construction practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively and work on remote project sites.
- OSHA 30 certification preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
