Low Voltage BIM Modeler
Key Responsibilities
- Create, update, and manage BIM models for low voltage and technology systems using Autodesk Revit.
- Produce coordinated plans, layouts, schedules, details, and construction documents.
- Collaborate with architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing teams to ensure system integration and model accuracy.
- Support project engineers and designers throughout design development and documentation phases.
- Participate in coordination meetings and assist with clash detection and model review activities.
- Incorporate design modifications, field changes, RFIs, and coordination feedback into project models.
- Follow established BIM standards, templates, and quality control procedures.
- Assist with site visits, field verification, and construction coordination as needed.
- Maintain organized project documentation while supporting project schedules and delivery milestones.
Preferred Technical Experience
- Structured cabling and telecommunications infrastructure
- Audio-visual systems
- Security, access control, and CCTV systems
- Wireless and network technologies
- Nurse call and paging/intercom systems
- Data center technology infrastructure
Qualifications
- Associate degree, technical certification, or equivalent practical experience in BIM, drafting, engineering technology, or a related field.
- Experience developing BIM models or construction drawings preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD is a plus.
- Understanding of low voltage systems and multidisciplinary building coordination.
- Knowledge of construction documentation practices and project workflows.
- Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
Additional Preferred Skills
- Experience with Navisworks or similar clash detection software.
- Familiarity with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) or BIM 360.
- Exposure to commercial construction projects.
- Understanding of equipment rooms, pathways, cable routing, and technology infrastructure layouts.
- Experience coordinating technology systems with other building disciplines.
