Job Opportunity: Technician - Installation, Commissioning & Troubleshooting (Building Automation / Data Centers)

Location: United States (up to 75% travel required) Employment Type: Full-time Compensation: Up to $130,000 base salary

About the Role

We are seeking a Technician to join our team, specializing in Building Management Systems (BMS) for mission-critical data center projects. This role focuses on installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of automation systems, ensuring reliable operation in high-demand environments. The position requires significant travel (up to 75%) to project sites across the U.S.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install and commission building automation systems in data center environments.

  • Perform troubleshooting, diagnostics, and corrective actions on BMS hardware and software.

  • Work closely with project managers, engineers, and programmers to deliver high-quality installations.

  • Conduct system testing, validation, and client handover documentation.

  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, project specifications, and industry best practices.

  • Provide on-site technical support and training to clients and field teams.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of building automation systems.

  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical systems, and BMS platforms (Distech, Tridium Niagara, Johnson Controls, or similar).

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and adaptability in fast-paced environments.

  • Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time.

  • U.S. work authorization required.
